    Hi all,

I can't get this dam trojan off my netbook. I have win 7. Malware bytes and microsoft security essentials do nothing. It prompts a restart then my compuer fails and I have to do a system restore. I've tried going into safe mode and delete c:/Windows/explorer.exe and the other winint but it won't let me. Any ideas?

    S.

Dont Delete explorer.exe you need that to run windows.

    Download Hijack This from:

I had the same problem...look at my thread on here called I think the MBR on one of my PCs is borked

You basically need to replace your explorer.exe and winlogin.exe from the original CD via the XP Recovery Console.

Also do a FIXMBR to be sure.

Hijack This won't really be helpful with the Bamital/DroopTroop trojan as it's windows system exes that are directly infected.
