Hey Folks! I'm hitting Brazil in a few weeks. I can't figure our what the visa situation is. Can I just rick up and get a touristy visa at the border (I'm over landing from Argentina). or do I need to go to an embassy and get one issued?

    Cheers.

If you have an Irish passport, you don't need a visa to enter Brazil as a tourist. You can stay up to 90 days without a visa

Yeah, you don't need a visa.
You fill out a form when you are getting in to the country, they stamp it or something and give you a copy which you must hand over when you leave.
There's a fine if you don't hand it over.
That said I lost mine when crossing to Argentina. I gave the puppy dog eyes and got away with it, so not sure how strict it is. Still, better safe than sorry.
