said id put this up for a qucik recap on the new shows being aired the next two weeks, i suppose 3 or 4 lines of what ye thought, instead of scouring 4 pages and 15 threads,

Boardwalk Empire, good start to what i expect to be a very good show, also it has been renewed for a second season already,

Hawaii 5-0, a solid start to what can potentially be an above average show, just hopefully doesnt become to much of a procedural,

Rasing Hope, interesting comedy, could maybe end up being way to basic, ill give it one or two more episodes,

Running Wilde, dead stick id say, not really funny, also never thought of arnett as a lead, and i dont really like keri russell caracter, will not be tuning in next week,

Nikita, already been out two weeks, but it has had a decent enough start, has to potential to actually keep a solid backstory running while also diverting off to the random side missions, ill keep tuning in,

Undercovers, an ok start, im hearing a lot of people complain about the comedic aspect to the show, but i dont think this is down as a dramady, it could be good, but not everything abrams puts his hands to turns to gold, ill watch some more,

The Whole Truth, TBH i didnt really like it, it tried to be slick and exploded all over the platform, im not really i fan of court room shows, so i honestly dont know why i even tried this,

still have 5 pilots to watch, one or two im iffy about, so ill probably hold off for a week or two to get some feedback on them,

Boardwalk Empire, Hawaii 5-0 and Raising Hope were all great pilots for me and I would recommend them

I still have a lot more to try and watch

Boardwalk Empire - enjoyed the pilot and its HBO, so we know it'll be a good show.

Nikita - watched the first 2 episodes and while it's enjoyable, I didn't find it strong enough to invest any more time into it.

Mike and Molly - I enjoyed it. If you like either the Big Bang Theory or Two and a Half Men, you'll probably like this, but if you're one of those sitcom snobs, don't bother your time.

Hawaii Five-O - If you like those police procedural shows, then its pretty good, but not my cup of tea.

Raising Hope - Already front runner for my favourite new show of the season. Loved every minute of it. Similar to My Name Is Earl in many ways.

Running Wilde - I wanted to like it, but 5 minutes in and I just wanted to die, so I stopped watching. Gonna be a massive flop I'd imagine.

Better With You - Thought with Kurt Fuller, Debra Jo Rupp and Joanna Garcia in the cast that this show could be great, but unfortunately the writing sucks, its a tired concept and wasn't one bit funny. Again, I gave it the boot after 5 minutes.

Still have Outsourced, Sh*t My Dad Says and No Ordinary Family to watch, but I really don't have high hopes for any of them.

I've only gotten around to watching a few shows yet.

Boardwalk Empire - I was pretty impressed by the pilot. A lot of reviews have been saying that its awfully slow but I think this is needed for good character development. Nukkie Thompson played by Steve Buschemi looks like he could develop into a real good character.

The Event - A lot of suspense involved straight from the off. Reminds me a little of later seasons of Prison Break (which were awful) with secret agencies, cover ups and lots of mysteries. Theres a touch of Lost/24 running through it too. Has potential but it seems like there could be a lot of plot holes.

Lonestar - Sleek story of a conman. I liked it but viewer numbers were awful and theres even talk of it being cancelled already. Pity.

Blue Bloods starts tonight in America which I'll be watching. It's a police drama.

The defenders which is a comedy has had good reviews so far started yesterday.

Am a bit behind on most pilots so what I have seen..

Nikita - decent without being anything outstanding. More action-orientated than 'Covert Affairs' - and worth investing some time in, but some of the characters are quite 1-dimensional.

The Event - 40 minutes of 'meh'.. and yet it's entertaining enough to make you coming back for the next week. Already, I think it's closer to going to way of 'Flash Forward' than it realises.

Boardwalk Empire - stylish, sleek and a downright good Sunday night drama. A great cast in Steve Buschemi and Michael Pitt. More quality from HBO.

Running Wilde - tired, formulaic, irritating, poorly written, poor acted, dire.. there are not enough negative adjectives to describe that pilot. And I really wanted to like it! :(

Raising Hope - definitely the most promising sitcom so far. Very 'My Name Is Earl-ish' but a couple of real LOL moments in the opening episodes. The cast all look very comfortable in their roles too. Great stuff!

My Ordinary Family - some horrific writing and painfully obvious pop-culture references drag this one down. Chiklis, Benz and Malco all deserve so much better! :( Maybe it'll improve, but the pilot was not good at all!

Super Pilot I really hope it doesn't get canned.

I couldn't get past the first 20 minutes I thought it was cringe inducing awful stuff.

Just reading a little more about Lone Star and it really bombed in the ratings even though it had a lead in from House. People have pretty much said it has no chance already and is almost certain to get cancelled. It was up against the powerhouse ratings machine that is Dancing With the Stars which didn't give it much of a chance.

I want to add my voice of approval to Lone Star - the pilot impressed me more then i thought it would. Pretty solid acting and as said, interesting premise...but, i think the premise is also it's downfall
    bigamist conman

Mike and Molly, very solid start, has great potential, also from the crew that make the big bang theory and 2.5 men, this one could go far,

Outsourced, used a lot of gags about western culture, which while being good, i dont see how they can maintain it over a long period of time, the show seems restricted, but im game for another few episodes,

    $%*# my dad says
, honestly was expecting this to be better, im not a fan of even slight senile old men, and the shotgun was a tad to much, ill give it 2 more episodes,

RE: Lone Star: It's a shame that they don't take into account people watching by, eh... "other means" because I've seen a lot of people say how great it was, but the majority of them wouldn't be counted in the ratings.

I agree about the bigamy thing though, I think maybe the conman thing would've been enough plot to keep it going.

Thing is, i didn't understand the bigamist plot point at first....
but then he decides to go straight and choose the girl he's already married to and settle into a job(at least thats what i thought), but then at the end it flips back and he marries the other one?

i could see the point off leading a double life at the start, but i didn't see the point of marrying the other girl at the end.

Yeah that bugged me a bit too.
I could even have bought him being fake married to one of them while in love with the other one, but he's all "I love them both" and I just don't see how we're supposed to like him.
Plus as a Friday Night Lights fan, I'm not caring at all about the other povo wife with her backyard BBQ's and what not.

Another point about Lone Star, a conman ripping people off is kinda hard to digest with the current US economy.

True, but I think that was the point of his dad being there. He's the one we're supposed to hate, and we feel sorry for Bobert because he's been pushed into it his whole life.

I do find it intriguing that they'd have a main character like that, and I'd love to see how they plan on making him likable and how they plan on making us care about him or his wives. It really doesn't seem like we'll get to see it though :(

If it tanks next Monday it'll be pulled by Wednesday...guaranteed, six episodes have been made, they either stop production or film all 13 and move it to Fridays. I kinda hope this happens as i'm a fan of Human Target and wanna see it moved to Mondays.
