    Hi guys,

I was hoping that there'd be some sort of music club or society in the college, but there doesn't appear to be.

I play the acoustic guitar (largely rhythm), and have an interest in meeting a few people to maybe play with.

I've never played with anyone before, but would like to give it a go.

I'm 24, and in 4th year of a course, so don't know how much time will be available as the weeks roll by, but would love to hear from people.

As to what type of music I'm into, well... I like R.E.M., Neil Young, Stereophonics, AC/DC, Newton Faulkner, Radiohead.. many others in a similar vein!

The music department have a jazz big band that rehearse on Thurs mornings in College Street. It's a requirement of all music degree students to attend an ensemble, but as far as I know, any WIT student can participate. The only prob is it's in the morning, 9 - 11 :S

Thanks coolperson, doesn't seem quite what I'm after however. As much as I like to listen to some jazz guitarists play (a little Reinhardt goes down well from time to time), it's a style that I'm totally unskilled in, and a musical direction I'm not really wanting to go.

Appreciate you letting me know though :)
