newly potty trained and traveling?

Ok so we have had lots of success here with potty training. We can now pretty much go anywhere without a pamper.

He still has the odd accident like if he is very tired and basically too lazy to get to the toilet or too absorbed and just forgets.

But at this point we have the nappy on only going to bed.

So... We have to travel next week by air. Should I keep this going or should I stick a nappy on him for the journeying?

Why not use a nappy pants?

Thats what I mean by nappy. Those pull up things. I think I'll keep one on him for the flight.

My daughter is at nearly the same place at the moment. Doing great for weeks but then got two days of a relapse. We only put a nappy on for night time aswel. Anyway we normally bring a potty in the boot of the car or in the bottom of the buggy when we are out so we can pop her on it if its an emergency. How long is the flight and is it only two flights (there and back)? For just two occasions its shouldn't make too much of a difference.

Yeah. It's two flights. Forty minutes each way.

Do you carry the potty with you all the time?

I dont use a buggy that much anymore so I feel a bit weird with a potty in one hand and a handbag in another.

What do you do with them sans potty? When I've been stuck I open my car door and stand behind him and tell him to aim for the pavement? I know its not ideal but is it at least legal? He doesnt have enough bladder control yet to wait in queues in the ladies room or to hunt for a toilet.

    What do others do?
