Check outside the SU Office. I remember there were volunteering posters for various places up there in my time at NUIM. Failing that you could ask in the SU Office itself :)

I presume a lot of the voluntering societies on campus will have activities on during the week, check on Fairs day which Socs have activities on your chosen day and time.

    Ignoring the last  comment,

You should ask St Vincent De Paul on Clubs & Socs Day.

The Volunteering Society would probably be a good place to start. Their email is volunteers@nuimsu.com :)

The Lions Club in college used to volunteer in the old folks home in Maynooth for a few hours every week. It was basically just sitting around having a chat and playing cards, with tea and biscuits included :-)

If you're interested, we might be able to hook you up. Drop me a mail?

    Lions club facebook:

(the lions club will regretably be winding down this year it seems, but the old folks home would probably still be happy to have you)

The St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) will be at Fairs Day at the SU all day so make sure to join or rejoin the society of charity, volunteering and having the craic. Like all other societies it is 2 euro to join and you can get involved as much or as little as you like :) CHARITY, VOLUNTEERING, HAVING THE CRAIC

By Maxol garage do you mean the one you pass by when you're driving in to Maynooth from the M4? I'm going to go look into maybe getting a few hours this week sometime.
