The one on dealextreme is a 24-70 Mrk I ;)

Here's the Mrk III version - I got it off ebay for 20 euro delivered - so not too bad. Differences are the gold band is actually gold not yellow rubber (like in the dealextreme version) and the switch is movable...and it zooms :D

    "One which doesn't belong"

    From the front:

Yup it zooms (and the shot from the back):

    And its interior:

Ironically I used a Sigma lens to take these photos :P

As for the mug itself - great taking point and helps me to drink the 7 glasses of water a day recommended... though capacity isn't huge - around 270ml only.

Just be careful of your lips while drinking though - I've heard these Nikon mugs are a lot sharper than Canon ones: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.41966

    :pac:

Any time now, DPReview will start testing these things & ranking/rating them along the lines of
    - Thermal insulation
    - stability
    - ease of fit into car cupholders
    - ease of cleaning
    etc

    Where is the world going?

    Ah, it's just gear lust - I don't I'll ever have a real 24-70 f2.8 - a 20 euro mug that holds my drinks will do instead.

You forgot an obvious category though - weather sealing ;), don't want any light/water leaks!

Just as a word to the wise - these mugs are not licensed by Canon or Nikon and I can only imagine that their lawyers are in court right now trying to stop production. So if you want them, it might be prudent to act quickish. Then again, IP infringement has never really deterred the people making Roloxes, LB, Frada goods...
