    Hi there,

Just wanted to pick your brains if possible. What would be your thoughts on the rules / setup for a single player MW2 tournament. We've got an event on tomorrow night that we're looking to run a tournament within. Probably 10-20 players max. We've 4 consoles to use for it and I had been toying with the idea of 4 player free for all with points scored league style. Just wondering is there a better way to do it. :)

see if you can get a few more xboxs and then get a 8 man ffa going on,4 people is too little imo.

when and where are you thinking about hosting it?

Keep the rules simple enough. No Noob tube, claymores, commando and I personally would have killstreaks turned off.

I played in a clan on consolegaming and there was too many rules.

Maybe ban death streaks (only copycat allowed) and laststand. /edit

We're having a lads night in at the Gamesnash Live venue. Basically it's a few lads having staying in having a few beers and playing some games. Just to keep things interesting on the night we're having a couple of tournaments and one will be MW2. It's not for want of a better word a professional tournament but at the same time we'd like to make it interesting. Another 4 consoles isn't an option unfortunately.

That's some set of rules :D

Since these consoles are gamesnash consoles with various levels of xp I was thinking about just saying default classes only, turn off kill streaks and pick the smaller maps considering there is just the four players. I would personally smack in the back of the head anyone found to be camping too much :p Have a few rounds of FFA and award points for top players - then have a final later in night from top 4.

Certainly something we could look into if there is demand for it. Tomorrow night is a trial run from a relaxed social perspective rather than a competitive tournament one but it's a good start :)

Interventions only, no steady aim, no deathstreaks bar copycat. Rust, free for all, health on miniscule, killstreaks turned off.

If its FFA with only 4 players have small maps Scrapyard, Rust and Highrise. Have it only up to 20 kills.

The also had two v two search and destroy consolegaming. Everyone might not like that thou. You could use more maps then. Karachi, skidrow, invasion etc.
Play best of 3 so each team can choose a map.

Only thing is qs is a bit of a skill and a lot of people hate it.

I only wish I'd seen this earlier, could have given you a fair few pointers, and possibly even popped down myself just for the laugh to see how it went.

    Oh well.
