Apologies if this has already been discussed..

But is 50 minutes enough for a connection in Stansted (without checked in bags)?

    Arrive 17.55, Depart 18.45.

doubt it, but with luck on your side could be done,
passport and security queues can be horrendous at Stansted, gate will close about 18.30 if all is going to plan.

Book another later flight if i were you. If you make the first one count yourself lucky, if you miss it you will be happy not having to pay over the odds on the day.

    Connecting at Stansted
We do our best to make your transfer trouble-free but please help us by allowing plenty of time between your connecting flights, especially if your baggage has not been checked through to your final destination.
If you arrive at Stansted on an international flight you will need to pass through passport control/immigration, whether your connecting flight is domestic or international. You will therefore need the correct documentation for entry into Britain.
If you are connecting from a UK flight to an international flight you will need to pass through special immigration control points where you may be asked to show your passport.
