quick nct question

the mothers car is going in for nct first thing in the morning. it was never tested before. do i need to take off the wheel trim/hubcaps if you can see the wheel studs with them on? it looks like each wheel would have to come off to remove them. the studs seem to be holding them on. dont want to have to do it i i dont need…

Hubcaps should be removed. Most hubcaps have "fake" wheel nuts to give it the look If you have alloys that cover the wheel nuts then the covers need to be removed.

If the wheel studs hold on the hubcaps, which is sometimes the case with Fiats and Hyundais, you can leave them on. The reason you must remove the hubcaps, is to inspect the wheel studs, so once they can be clearly seen, you're ok.
