I am heading with a group of 16 lads to Doonbeg next week-end. Good deal for E380. 3 B/Bs,I Dinner and 2 rounds of Golf. Any good eating houses/ pubs near this complex. Any tips on how to play/navigate the ball around this Norman designed links would be helpful.

Dont play off the front tees cause it makes it too easy. if ye are decent golfers ye will enjoy it more playing of the back markers (not the championship markers though).Doonbeg itself is quiet. tubridys do food and is a decent pub but no nightclubs etc...

Try Crotty's in Kilrush nice pub and a short taxi ride away. The course is ok some very good holes and some very average. The snail controversy limited the amount of dunes that Norman could use
