Applying for provisional license

Other then an eye test and two passport photos is there anything else needed to apply for the provisional licence like fees ect ect?

Do I need to fill out any fourms to apply ?

The forms are available from the garda stations and even libraries I believe. First Learner's Permit you need the certificate saying you've completed your Theory Test and a whole lot of other stuff.

Check the form out, it has a checklist of what you should include with your submission.

• 2 passport photos (sign the back)
• passport (they'll just scan it and hand it back to you at the motor tax office)
• 15 euro
• eye test (valid for one month)
• theory test cert (valid for two years)
• learners permit form

You can get the learners permit form at your local motor tax office. That's also the place where you submit all the stuff. You'll need to know your pps number too. I think it's already on the theory test cert though. Then you'll get the permit about 2 days after applying.

I think he means that it's called a learners permit now rather than a provisional licence.
