    Hi All

I have recently changed cars and the one I bought has no cd player only a radio with a tape deck. I am going to buy an i pod (probably a nano) and put all my music onto it and want to be able to play it in the car. What is the best way to do this - I've looked at other threads on this but most are fairly old and refer to the thing that plays through the radio. These don't sound great as alot of people seem to say the sound is crap. What is the best option, that charges ipod as well, where do I get it and what are the costs?

    Thanks :D

For a new Nano you might have to wait a little while as the accessory manufacturers get their products on the market. In the mean time if your car has an Aux input (looks like headphone jack) you might be able to connect you iPod through that with a male to male connector cable, but that won't charge it.

I use a belkin fm transmitter and I have no complaints about the sound quality at all. Occasionally have the odd bit of interference but if you find the right frequency the sound is great

I remember having a connector that was In The shape of a cassette tape with a wire coming out of it. All you did was hook up one end to the iPod and stick the cassette into the tape player and off you went. They may still be available.

Oh right - I wonder if they're still available?
Would it fit the i pod nano?
    Thanks

Well personally I've RCA jacks in my car for my iPod, but the OP said she had a tape player in her car, and no CD player so I'm assuming it's an older model car. Why bother re-inventing the wheel when there's something designed specifically for the job?
