    Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a new laptop which can actually fit into the bag and still give me the performance I want.
    These are the specs:

    13-inch: 2.4GHz
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    8GB Memory
    250GB hard drive1
    SD card slot
    Built-in battery (10 hours)
    NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics

Anybody here that actually has this system? Does the battery last as long as it says?
I think this is a lovely laptop, especially when it will come to the ERASMUS year. Just want to get some feedback about it.

    Thanks.

The 10 hours is bull**** for starters, I own the MBP 13" and it's about 4 hours in OS X, about 2 hours in Windows via Bootcamp from full to flat. The battery time varies heavily on what you're doing too, watching MKVs will give you maybe 3 hours battery in OS X. Adjusting the brightness to halfway maybe give you the 4, but honestly I've never gotten more.

8GB of memory is a bit silly if you ask me, I've 4GB in mine and it's grand. The graphics are no great shakes, fine for OS X things but decent gaming is a bit of a non-starter.

You never posted the price but there's more bang for your buck if you go with a regular PC laptop.

I can get the above system for €1358.83

My current system cost about the same, but the only difference was the 17" screen, 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD. It's way too big to haul to college every day, and it doesn't actually fit on the benches of some lecture halls....

Not to mention the fact that the 9-cell battery can only last near 3 hours when I have brightness turned down to minimum, and nothing but Chrome with 1 tab, and OneNote running...

8gb of RAM is complete overkill.
