Possible emigrant

Interested to get the opinion of others on this one, as an unemployed person of eight months.
Like everyone else I’ve been applying for many hundreds of jobs, and looked into education etc but there is absolutely nothing out there at the minute and it’s affecting me.
I’ve become a bit detached from people, irritable, snappy and just don’t want to be around people full stop.
It feels like I’m going mad, and each day things just seem to get worse and worse, more bad news etc.
Anyhow, at what point did other people who are in my shoes look/move abroad?
I don’t want to give up but I feel like each day is just getting tougher and tougher, and there’s no real hope at the moment.
I’ve become quite bitter and don’t feel like there’s anyone in my life who understands me right now, and its affecting my relationship.
    Any tips? Thoughts?
    Thanks

It's tough, I was unemployed for 8 months myself and it ain't easy. Have you looked at working for yourself? There's lots of suppport there at the moment for start-ups.

Do you have anywhere in mind to emigrate to? The UK is better than here for jobs, I know a couple of people who've moved and gotten jobs in London. There are companies that can help you get sorted with Visas and work in more far flung places but (isn't there always a but) they cost money.

I was out of work 4 months, worked for 6, then out of work for 3 again, I'm living abroad now and working.

Emigrating can be a bit tough - I came to this country with a possible job offer that fell through, and a very basic knowledge of the language. There's some paper work to do when u get ot a new country - applying for ur tax number etc, but stuff like that you figure out once you're here. You'll need enough to survive for 2/3 months at least whilst looking for a job. Try move into a flat soon as hostels work out expensive.

If you have any savings at all, it's better I think to just take the plunge rather than waste it staying in Ireland - look, the situation back home isn't going to get better, not for a long time. Both my brothers emigrated too, and yeah it's hard - no guarantee of work either. One tried Canada, we'd heard there were loads of jobs but he had trouble getting work, he's now got a job to tide him over, the other is working in Australia, he got a good job with a visa now but he had a lot of experience going over. I'm in Spain, everyone said the economy is worse, and yeah it is, but there's work here as an English teacher. It's hard work, lots of travelling every day, but I'm making a living and happier than I was back home.

    Best of luck whatever happens
