Looking for Irish people studying in UK (Norwich)

    Hi All,
    This is my first post here so bare with me =) I just started studying in UEA in Norwich for Speech and Language therapy. I've been trying to find out if anyone from Ireland is studying in UEA or knows someone studying, its just a bit of homely banter and slagging is what I need here as I find I can't relate to alot of the other foreign students as well as people from home (but maybe its early days yet). If anyone can help or is about let me know!

    Have you tried posting in NI and GB colleges forum? You might get more of a response there. I'm a final year SLT student now so feel free to PM me if you want any help with anything!

    I did my interview for UEA and got an offer but decided to accept UU instead with Edinburgh as my back up. Seems like a nice uni though!

    Moved to NI/GB Colleges

    I don't know if anyone who posts here goes there, if they do they do so very quietly :P The Student Room has a dedicated UEA forum here. They won't be long telling you whether they are Irish or know of anyone there at the moment who is!

    hey i only saw your post now, im irish and i go to city college in the centre of Norwich, Have lived here since september and havnt met any Irish too,Where about in Ireland are you from??im a Kilkenny girl myself, :)

    Hi, bit late now but just moved here myself, doesn't seem like there is a big Irish community in Norwich ?

    Nope theres hardly any irish in Norwich (even tho most English people claim to be ''half Irish'')

    Why did yu move to Norwich??

    Hi, I moved as my girlfriend got a job here (she's been out of work since August '11 in Sligo) and I was down to 10-15 hours a week in my job so I said feck it try my hand here.
