I hope this is the right forum.

I was thinking of sending an old portable Sanyo 14MT2 (C14EA97E) to Latvia with a friend.
    Will it work over there?

From what I can find out, Latvia uses PAL B/G, while Ireland uses PAL I.

I can't find my manual, but would it be likely that Sanyo TVs can accept all types of PAL signals?

Is it possible to select Latvia as the country within a setup/install menu?

They are migrating to DTT. If it has SCART it will work with Setbox.

If the TV only does PAL I, there will be no sound. Fixing this on some TVs is changing one cheap component (6.0MHz to 5.5MHz three pin ceramic filter). Some sets have both parts in parallel. 5.5MHz and 6.0MHz.

    It has SCART.

TheCush - without the manual I'm finding it hard to find the setup menu.

There may not be one other than Scan...

From further enquiries, it seems it will work as a viewer/monitor for a Latvian DVD/video player or Latvian satellite input, so it sounds like it will be on its way.

    Thank you for your help.

    YES, that's SCART so fine.
only RF is problem, and only for sound.

I have a Sanyo CRT which has a hidden setup menu to change the sound mode between B/G, D/K or I.
