change of role within contracting company

    Hi there,
I am a contractor from a relatively small contracting company currently working on a project in a client site.

My client site contract is up at the end of November and my contracting company want to put me into a different position within the current client site that I feel would be a step backwards on my cv. I have been clear in my discussions with them of the type of role which I would like to move into (which is available within the client site) but I feel now that they want the easy option and want to keep me within this client site.

Does anybody know what my rights are in relation to taking on a role I did not originally (2+ yrs ago) sign up to - will I be forced to resign, or will my contracting company have to let me go?
