PVC pipe connections

    Can you get push fit connections for PVC pipes similar to the ones used for qualpex pipes?

    Do you mean the 1 1/2 & 1 3/4 waste pipes? If so, yes you can, only in the sense that they are push in with a rubber seal. If I was you though, I'd go with the regular ones and use a bit of T88 on them

    Putting the hand basin back in after tiling the bathroom floor, the waste trap is about 30mm shy of the 1 1/2" PVC pipe.

    cut the pipe back and join it with a staight and another piece of pipe

    So a connection fitting would be the best option? What type?

    just get a straight 1 1/2 joiner and a afew inches of 1 1/2 of pipe

    Change the P Trap for an adjustable waste instead. Bob'll be your uncle
