What is everyone doing art thinking about doing for their project .?

Our Teacher tells us that the themes are pretty open and you can fit almost anything in.

The themes are due out in the next two are three weeks if you go by previous years.

I'm thinking about doing a Celtic book of Kells type border with a Celtic Woman on the edge of a cliff with waves crashing up against the bottom of the cliff and maybe a few other things in the background.

well the titles arent realeased till d 1st of october, so i wouldnt make concrete ideas for your project yet, just in case in the worst case scenario your idea cant b adapted in anyway to the titles,
i have a few basic ideas though,
something to do with a famous painter that had new ideas (i.e piccasso and cubism)
or something to do with an old play or film (shakespeare or something)

    We got the themes today..
I'm gonna tweek mine so instead of a cliff she is standing on a rock at the side of a river, to go with the "Along The Riverside" theme

Art teacher gave me an amazing idea. I'm going to base it on ice cream and fruit, for my own comfort zone. I get to make a construction of a giant ice cream sundae. :) I'm surprisingly excited about it now.

That's really pretty! :) All my finished stuff is actually in school so I can't take any pictures. D: I'm not that great at art anyway so it's not amazing. My friend is doing Audrey Hepburn stuff too!

Actually, question about the 3D prep. My teacher told us that on the prep sheet we should have 1 piece at least that lifts off the page a bit. So like one girl made a teddy out of crepe paper and another person made a little chair out of cardboard... Did anyone else do something like that on their 3D prep?

hmm. weird! I don't think I'm going to do anything coming off the page.. I mean the crepe paper things are kind of childish looking anyway.. I think I can get away with not doing them :) My art teacher is a tiny bit crazy.. :P

It's midterm now and we've gotten no home work... I feel like I should be preparing something.. I think I'll be done my 3D in the next art class I have back after mid term, it was easier than I thought because I did construction. Everyone else is way behind because they're doing clay modelling. :P

I'm doing themes and textures - or something similar to that. Can't remember exact title.

Anyway,I'm basing it on fashion. Nearly have my prep painting done :D

My sculpture is going to be of a cat-walk,although I hope it'll work out considering I'm not exactly gifted at drawing! :)

My class are very, very behind. Today, M'art teacher said to us it's time to officially panic - heck, I've been doing that since October! This is what I've done, and yet to do:

    Prep for 2d Piece
    Support Studies for 2d Piece
    Finished 2d Piece
    Prep for Option (calligraphy)
    Support Studies for Option
    Finished Option Piece (nearly done!)
    Prep for 3d Piece
    Support Studies for 3d Piece
    Finished 3d Piece.
    icon11.gif
I do massive, massive detail, so it does take a while. My theme is "My Comfort Zone" - Dogs. I really want to get it done as I know Art is the one subject I know I can get an A in. :) (no big-headedness intended...)

I'm doing batik for my option and I'm pretty much done everything else. So now I'm working on support studies and the prep for my batik... Not really feeling very worried at all anymore tbh.. Even though apparently we're behind.
My 3D isn't actually fully done, but I think if I stay in at lunch some day I can finish it off. :)

just wondering for the 'completed painting' sheet do you just do one big drawing? :o I was just wondering and I'm curious on how it's different to the 'Prep for Painitng' sheet? Care to explain anyone? :)

Woah, you guys are way ahead of all the lads in my class!
I have a nearly finished poster of Robert Smith, and half a lino of Kurt Cobain printed!
We've started staying behind in school for two hours twice a week and that's really helping! Our art class is big though, and the teachers having trouble getting around to us all in the 38mins we have for art.
We have this table though, of who's got what done and we're all competing to see who's finished first.
I HAVE TO FINISH FIRST!
