    Aston Villa v Blackburn 19:45

    Scunthorpe v Man Utd 19:45
    Wigan v Preston 19:45
    Liverpool v Northampton 20:00

Bebe playing for United? First look at Danny Wilson in a Liverpool shirt? Is Man City's squad big enough? Shay Given starting?

    It's all here.

Edit: Didn't realise there were individual match threads, sorry!

Ok my thread was a bit of a fail because of the individual threads but a few interesting games.

Preston NE are the only team yet to concede tonight, Irish international Keith Treacy with their goal, currently 1-0 away to Wigan, though a clean sheet away to Wigan is no great achievment. If they don't finish 5 or 6-0 against them these days you're nobody.

City have taken a 1-0 lead (Jo) from the first half, and turned it around into a 2-1 scoreline halfway into the second half. Fair play to West Brom.

Villa also turning things around for their new man in the dugout. 1-0 down to Blackburn at halftime, only to be undone with arguably the Premier League's greatest ever striker who levelled. Ashley Young has added 2 quickfire strikes to Heskey's equaliser to make it 3-1 right now.

Chelsea coming back in a lively game against Newcastle. Ex-Newcastle loan signing Patrick van Aanholt with the first goal for Chelsea. Poor keeping from Ross Turnbull however (really thought he should have got to the freekick, I mean it was Ryan Taylor, and nowhere near the corner) and Newcastle got back to 3-1. Anelka made it 3-2 so game on. Less than 5mins to go, Chelsea losing at the Bridge? Really?

I fairly jinxed Preston! 2-1 to Wigan!

I'm hoping city get knocked out. They are one of the few teams that must actually welcome the league cup as its a chance to give there big squad some sort of time on the pitch. There'll be plenty of grumbling from the fringe players if there are a lack of games to play.
