That really depends who you talk to!! My own view on them are, if its between a 3 series and a C class(both minimum 2l) id have the bmw all the way up to that sexy C class that came out in 08, imo much nicer than the 3 series. If it was between 5 series and E class call me an old man (25 btw) but id have the Eclass, 270cdi if i could afford the tax. BMW 520d is a great car but im just not mad on bmw auto, never have been but id take the 530d over all of them if i could:D

ah yeah only 600 odd for the 520 for the yr, about 800 if ya went E220 so not much of a savin for ya there!!

You'll find it difficult to sell the Disco privately or take as a part exchange. SUVs are very unpopular these days, a privately taxed one will be nearly sale proof I would think.
