Hello there, Could someone tell me where i would find the reverse light switch on a 04 VW passat tdi is? I have the replacement bought today so hopefully its somewhere easily accessed by a layman:)

you will have to jack the car up the switch is located on the gearbox

Thats not a passat, a 04 passat gearbox is right below the gear knob, unusual for a front wheel drive car. He will have to jack the car up.

OP, chances are there will probably be 2 sensors on the gear box, one would be the speed sensor and the other should be the reverse switch.
