yes you have to pay them!!!

vat is 21% duty depending on the goods is 5%-15%

assuming a duty of 5% your looking at about €100 for vat and duty

You will have to pay Irish duty and Vat once it enters the country. This is usually processed and charged on delivery by the delivery company, who also have a fee for doing this.
