    Anyone play recently?

Played a four ball there about 2 weeks ago...its a difficult course, hitting over lakes and rivers...lots of large trees and gorse bushes and bunkers..lost about 3 balls...found 2!...took 5 & half hrs to get around. greens were in good condition.

Its a top golf course, probably not rated as high as it should be. Some cracking holes. Yes its difficult but not overly difficuly especially off the whites.

Some cracking Par 3's. Let us know how it plays

Well the course is still as well maintained as ever! Really really good course! Greens were in great condition! 4 Pars off hcap 17 but some poor shots aswell!!
Course was very quiet even at 9am on Sunday morning!!
    I prefer Luttrelstown to Castleknock!

I prefer castleknock to luttrelstown! :p

I should like luttrelstown but I find it too long (some long walks between tees and bad design), and a little too hard. Probably lower handicaps would prefer it. Find castleknock is more fun, probably due to 5 par 3's and 5 par 5's. Also condition of luttrelstown has been dissapointing the 2 times I have been.

Fair enough! but I played them both in the last week and thought the greens and fairways of Luttrelstown were in far better condition!

You cant really miss the green on two of those 5 par 3's in Castleknock considering the 9th and 18th are shared greens!
