    Hey brothers and sisters:)
I like MP5 so much and am thinking of getting one. Maybe you can help me:)
I'm wondering if they are any good? I'm looking at this one at the moment http://www.mainirishairsoft.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=324

What i need it for is for cqb and for woods. I know, it should be good for cqb but how about woods? I have now King Arms Galil AR and it's brilliant for open places but, i think, it's quite big for scb. And is it wise of me to get rid of Galil and get this one? Can MP5's performance be compared to my Galil's?

The new SRC and ICS models are the best mp5's.

Both have stamped and welded steel receivers, other brands have cast alloy bodies or plastic.

The length of aeg doesn't matter, it will be as good as a galil because they are all under 1 joule and barrel length isn't as important as barrel and hop up rubber quality.

thanks. Any idea where i can find SRC and ICS models? what price are they?

SRC is pretty reasonably priced, about the same as the CA if not less, its available in a few HK shops but you could have your local retailer order one in, I dunno about the ICS but that may not even be out yet, it has working s 1 3 a selector positions and a split gearbox and great externals, it would be the rolls royce of mp5's.

Well I've read a good few reviews on ICS mp5 sd5 and I think it's what I need:)
I wonder if there are people on this forum who actually have this SMG and a desire to trade it as I may put up an ad soon to trade my King Arms Galil AR for a ICS mp5 sd5.:)

good for range and accuracy and good for mobility
i use a k but you cant get down prone (on the ground) like you can with say a p90

Thats the older model, and doesn't include 3 round burst or a steel receiver, its a nice aeg, I had one, but the current SRC is better than the old ICS externals wise at least.

If you want a reasonably priced MP5 with rock solid externals and internals then have a look at G&G's range of plastica and proline PM5's.

In my opinion they are the best/most available MP5 replica's on the market.

But are they good as a primary weapon? Iam tempted to get one but don't want regret if I get rid of my galil

Then keep your galil, save up and buy an MP5 to add to the collection.

All aegs in ireland perform similarly, my mp5 was pushing 320 fps with the hop off and about 300 hop on, and the range was crazy, I outranged everyone on the day pretty much and had a nice advantage to exploit as a result.

For the money I'd get the new SRC, serious looking bit of kit and with proper stamped and welded receiver.

If the new ICS is out soon, I'd get that but it would be a fair few euro more, budget wise, a Cyma mp5 in full metal would be cheapest and well made.

If plastic isn't an issue, there are other option still, but these days there are no reasons not to have full metal with the selection available.

That's right, i'm into full metal blow back aegs. Can't find SRC mp5sd5 for sale, what price range are they?

    http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=1_38&sort=2a&page=3

Bottom of the page, look on youtube, they have a video of a car running over the steel body from when it was first developed as a marketing thing.

I'd love one myself, that or the upcoming ICS but I dunno much about apart from the promo stuff.

Try Taiwan Gun in Poland. They have SRCs for €170-€200. Shipping will be €19, and you will need a new spring (which they will fit for free) for about €15

Looks like they have gen I and gen II with the gen II being the steel one, for the few quid extra I'd get that one.

    Nice find by the way.

I havn't seen one in the pics of your gear thread, but bear in mind these are fairly new releases.

I would love to be in a position to get one myself and see what they are like. There is a lot to be said for proper steel bodies with nice finishes.
