    Hi guys,

Is there a way of deleting multiple text messages in iOS4 on 3gs? I know people talk about clicking into the text messages and deleting conversations etc. but i simply talking about when you click the 'Messages' button and see the different texts, is there a way of selecting multiple texts for deletions? At present I seem only to be able to click 'edit which brings up a red ' - ' icon but i still have to delete them one at a time?? any help would be appreciated.

    Regards

There's a little circle to the left of each individual message. Just tap on each to highlight the ones you want to delete, then click on the delete button.

Whiterebel is correct. Click edit then tap the circle beside the ones ya wanna get rid of and delete them all together. Same as email.

It is different to emails, in emails you can slect all the ones you want to delet and then selct delete, in SMS you still need to do it one by one...:D:D:D

I have. Unless you are talking about deleting multiple threads rather than texts? When I go into message I see threads of texts from various people. I can either wipe the whole thread by swiping right, or go into the thread by clicking on the last message.

Not on my phone. I go into a conversation with and hit edit and the circle is beside all the bubbles to tick as you need. Then delete all together.

I am talking about when you click the green message button and the first thing you see is each name of each person. How do you select the different names(numbers) and delete?

I understand that you can delete multiple conversations between the user and one recipient but not texts from different people.

Swipe across the message/name and that will get rid off all messages in that thread.

Ok, I saw you edited and changed the end of your last post. The way apple have done it is to organise texts from the same person into threads. So, the short answer now, is no, you cannot delete multiple "threads" at the same time.

Yes you can delete bubbles in multiple but on the home SMS screen, you cannot delete Conversaiotns in bulk...
