    Hi all

I have an i phone, the original version, not the i phone 4. I always had nokia phones before and could delete individual calls from the dialled numbers and received calls log. Does anyone know a way of doing this on the i phone???? It does not allow me to and the only way is to delete the whole call log.

    Thanks

There is a Cydia App to do this if your Iphone is jailbroken

What do you mean by jailbroken?
    Thanks

Ok - I looked up jailbroken. How do I do this?

Or is there a solution to my problem without jailbreaking my phone?

    Thanks

For jailbreaking see stickied thread at top of page, or go to iclarified.com

Thanks for that - if I do succeed in installing this app will it be obvious to someone looking through the apps on the phone that the purpose of this one is to delete calls from the history?

    Thanks

    Ha Ha!!
No - it's more innocent than it sounds!! It's a work phone and it's kind of shared so just want to delete certain calls from the log

chances are the call will be logged with the mobile phone company so doesn't really matter if you delete it.

i'd just stop calling those sex lines ;)

    Yeah yeah!!!! ;)
Seriously though - does anyone know the answer to my question - if I install that app is it obvious by looking at it what it is for?
    Thanks :D

ya wont see anythin different with the phone apart from the cydia icon, the thing ur looking for is just a tweak so has no icon and will just work with a swipe to delete like texts

Oh right - what is the main function of the cydia app then?
    Thanks

tbh if the phone is a work one that isn't owned by yourself i wouldn't go installing cydia considering jailbreaking could - slim chance - go tits up and if i was your boss i wouldn't be happy knowing that you're jailbreaking without my consent.

No worries there - I am "the boss" - supposedly anyway!! :D

Out of interest - what is the main function of the cydia app?

Thanks - I know feck all about this stuff

cydia is the jailbreak equavilent of the appstore, ya add respositories to it for different apps/themes/tweaks etc, cydia then installs and uninstalls whatever ya want

Oh right. So I use the link for how to jail break the phone first from the sticky and then is the link Elnino posted all I need or do I need to install the overall cydia thing first?
