    Hi There,

I'm looking for a bit of advice on something, i have been receiving text messages from an unknown number recently and it was kinda getting to me a bit but i usually dont care about these things but when they start pushing buttons on stuff that has now got to me, obviously i blocked the number but the thing is i think i work with this jealous nutjob! I tested the water with the number by getting someone else to send text message's and they knew who it was who also works on the floor, this nutjob mention my friends name in the text message. The problem is that this nutjob i think know's we know its her, but to end all speculation i want to be able to prove its her as everytime i see her she's in a panic and very nervous around me. So as the messages stopped due to blocking it im getting raunchy emails from unkown people which i wreckon is also her! She does seem sometimes as if shes up to something. This person i'm almost certain it is has mental problems and she has told me so the medication she is on and what not when we were friends. I dont want to bring it to the gardai as i fear she'll do something stupid and what but i just want to be able to prove its her mention it to her to get the games to end and let me move on.

Any suggestions on what i should do?? I've contact my Network and they told me that they cant reveal who it is (Loada crap)

The network operator can't give you information on someone else. There is the Data Protection Act to consider.

As to what you should do - have you tried asking this person if it is her?

Other than that, contact the Gardai.

Take it to the guards. They're the only ones can do anything. The networks won't move without their say so.

Prove its a load of crap. Even try ...

I used to work in a network. Even a Garda cant get this without warrant.

Sounds easy alright but as i said but this person is rather fragile minded and considering the text messages i was getting off her normal phone she has treatened things with her self so going up to her without evidence or even getting the gardai involved could have serious consequence's, i need hard evidence so i can go up to her and tell her im will to forget about it if she does or then ill go to the Gardai and HR about it! ! Even if i could pin point evidence with the email address??

If you think it's a collegue at work why not send the number to HR and ask them do they have a record of that number on file?

You want to prove its her so you can mention it to her and move on ?

Approach her directly and ask if she's been sending you texts/emails. Try and convey that you presumed they were intended to be a joke and whatnot. I don't know something like that.

Unless you want to go the gardai/sue her the law has no remedy for you. Try and work it out on the personal level.

The phone might not even be registered.

Why don't you, or a colleague ring this number while you're near her bag/desk etc and see can you hear it vibrate/ring??
Or simply just txt back that all messages are being forwarded to the gardaí who are aware of who is sending them and they are building a file against her!
