    Hello,

I am about to go for a maintenance job interview soon but I have lied on my application about my time spent in Australia

I would be very grateful for any information on this as im really up **** creek if I dont get it

Im saying on my application that I worked in a traffic management (roads)situation in sydney, I have done this type of work here in Ireland and im just trying to enhance my application, Im not going in to totally con anyone.

My question is: What tickets do you need before you can work in live traffic situations in sydney? When did they come into effect? As far as im aware you do need to do a one day course on this subject.

I have stated that I operated a roadsweeper truck there also, What category of licence do you need for that in oz? I have a cat c licence here but never had it in australia

I'm only telling little white lies in this application and I think that we all do , Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Don't tell BIG lies on applications.. especially if you don't have the licences or experience in a country that you claim. The company will most likely want to see them and references from thise "previous" employers, and you are dead in the water then..
If they just involve a one day course, then the employer probably wouldn't have had much of an issue getting you to do the course as part of your induction.

(and no.. people dont generally tell lies that big on successful applications)

Can you get the required licences in advance of any interviews?
