PSN Connection Help?

I'm currently in Student Accomodation and my internet connection is ethernet.

Each time I turn on the internet I must put in a username and password to confirm I want to use it.

I have tried putting the cable into my ps3 but each time it will not sign me into the PSN and I'm no longer able to play MW2 online :(

Anyone know if I can rectify this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You missed this thread on the topic... don't worry, it's maintenance, we're all suffering withdrawal symptoms.

I assumed it was a new problem.

Is it just a PSN problem or an internet problem? i.e. have you tried the internet connectivity test on the PS3?

Ya the test fails but I'm wondering is there anyway I can put in the username and password so I can get onto the internet on the PS3?

You get the username/password off the bill payer/whoever is in charge of your student accommadation.
They should supply info to all who pay their share of the bill.

I have the username and password.

But is there any way of putting this is on the PS3 so I can play online?

Go to the internet connection settings section on the XMB.
Step by step set up, follow prompts.
