    There should be test & service buttons behind the coin door or inside the cab somewhere. You can use one of these for credits, and the other for setting the coineage required for play (it's like a bios menu within the game). Sounds like you need to replace the battery on the board itself though, to retain the settings.

    If it's an original cabinet it will have a daughter board with all the service buttons and monitor adjustments knobs. If it's in a generic cab take a look at the original manual at http://tamdb.net/
