Can anyone recommend a software programme to convert regular DVDs to work on an iPad?

yea a good free one is handbrake. i was charged with the job of putting all the twilight movies on the wifes ipad (yea, i know) lame. apple make this as awkward as possible it took about 6 hours to re-encode each file into a suitable h264 file. granted my laptop
is old but it was a major pita.

the trick is when you are ripping your discs make sure they rip to a format that your ipad likes, usually h264, im not an expert on this stuff, so you dont have to re-encode.
