Conveyancing, how quick?

A quick question. My brother has had his bid accepted on a local authority house. How will it take to do the Conveyancing? He is a cash buyer so there is no mortgage and no survey is needed.

A rough idea would be appreciated.

2-3-4 months would be typical but there are a quite a few variables that can lengthen the process.

Even for a straight forward cash sale? I would understand if there was planning issues, compliance issues, banks etc.

Well the title would still need to be properly investigated and that takes time and things you mention would need to be asertained by the purchaser's solicitor.
