    I keep getting card declined on play.com.
    I was trying to buy a game.
    I tried their phone number and it doesn't work and I tried emailing them using an email address that is probably not working anymore and doesn't appear on their site but anyway got an automated reply saying I'd probably have to wait 3 days for a reply.

    Jeez their customer service is brutal.
    If something goes wrong what are you supposed to do.
    Anyway is there anyway to get in contact with them?

    Luckily I'v never have had a problem with play.com and have been using the site for years.
    But I have noticed that some electrical products will not be posted to Ireland. Could this be the problem?

    both myself and my partner have experienced the same difficulties described by the OP when trying to purchase dvd's. i had no such difficulty up until a few months ago.

    I ordered a game and they do send games to Ireland.
    My wirecard had to be renewed and everything had been working fine until I had to do that but since I've done that I keep getting card declined.
    All the details from my wirecard are entered in correctly.
    I guess I may have to just cancel the order and buy elsewhere.
    I don't know.

    Thanks but thats the number I tried before.
    Anyway they said my card was declined because there was no sufficient balance on the card.
    I had 14.50 euros on the card and the game cost 13.99 so I thought it would work.
    I think the reason why it didn't work is because money is reserved from your debit card so you need to have a balance a few euros over the price of the game available in your debit card account or else you get card declined because after they have the money reserved from your debit card there is no longer enough money left on your debit card to buy the game.
    I think thats what happened in my case anyway.
    Also every time you change your card details on the site and resubmit they reserve more money from your debit card account I think I did it a few times which is why there is 7.30 euros reserved from my wirecard account.
    They didn't tell me that I just know myself from looking at my wirecard account.
