    Hi,

    Yesterday I was coming out of college and as I was heading to my car I smelt the unmistakeable smell of marijuana. It was coming from the vehicle next to me. I didnt know what exactly to do as there were 2 in the van and they looked fairly dodgy. They pulled out and went ahead of me. I could see the driver and passenger were still smoking. I decided to call the local station to report them and give the car reg and description. We were stuck in traffic for about 5 minutes but I didnt see a squad car approach them and I went right as they went straight on. I gave my name and mobile to the garda on the phone.

    I'm just wondering, say if a squad car comes upon that vehicle at another time would the ANPR flag it and/or if a garda did like a reg check would my report appear on pulse or not?

    Considering the current ad campaign against drug driving and my grandfather was killed by a drink driver years ago I was really annoyed to see these two idiots

    Fair play to you for reporting these morons.

    I don't think Gardai on this forum will be able to discuss internal Garda / PULSE procedures here unfortunately.

    Thanks. Yeah I presumed that would be the case but was wondering if the record of my complaint would be held in future. Thanks again

    I actually hope not, simply because unless the gardai verify it. Well then it really does not warrant being held over someone on permanent record.

    Imagine if I rang that in but gave your reg by mistake. Then your reg (You) would be travelling around with an undeserved target on your back.
