anyone know how long the process normally takes?

my flatmate handed his forms/funds in today to get one of his repeats from august rechecked, how long should it take them to get it all sorted out?

    1. The form goes to the School office to the Head of Dept.
    2. The Head of Dept then noitifies the lecturer who marked the paper.
    3. The lecturer requests the office from the exam store and reviews or rechecks it.
    4. The outcome is then given to the head of dept who then informs the Exams office.

Can't remember if it's the exams office or school office that notifies the student though.....
