DVD Rental - TV Series Box Sets?

    Hey!

I keep seeing a lot of decent TV Series DVD Box sets in the Shops and thinking they'd be great for the upcoming Winter Season but they are very pricey, I know they are cheaper on the likes of Play.com but I said I'd post here too as if they are reasonably cheap to rent then it will suit me as I probably will not rewatch them again.

Anyone know of any DVD Rental places in the City or County that have a decent selection of Box Sets to rent?

Am interested in Dexter, True Blood, House M.D., Greys Anatomy, The Wire and anything ye can recommend.

    - Hopefully someone can recommend some options to go and join up.

    Thanks,

    Joe.

You could also try your local (book) library - I'm with Fingal Co Co Libraries (Dublin) and I go online, take a look at what they have and order it. If they don't have it in my branch, they'll get it from another. It costs 50c to reserve and they have loads of box sets. Worth a shot.

Oh are they €10 a week? They're €20 ish delivered on Play.com for a lifetime of watching.

Might make more sense to buy, watch and then flog on to the next Punter so?

    - Will check out Library also - Thanks for the suggestions Folks.

If you buy off play.com you can always sell off your box sets on play.com once finished. At least then you'll get some money back and can take your time watching them and not have to rush like you would if you rent.

Moviedrome on Henry street have a pretty good selection, think its either 5 or 10 euro for a week...

Moviedrome in Henry Street gets the thumbs up from me too. Only 5 euro per week for a box set! I've rented The Sopranos, Dexter, The West Wing, The Wire and Nurse Jackie from them.

I find with Xtravision the older boxsets tend to be badly scratched and largely unwatchable - drives me nuts! Much less of a problem with the box sets from Moviedrome and they're cheaper, too!
