    What sort of welder is it? And what size is the thing you're looking to weld..

    I was 15 at the time, but used to weld trailers and wheelbarrows :D

    Unless you are welding something that will be dangerous if it breaks, such as a towbar, and you are not too concerned about how the finished job looks, I would give it a go yourself. Any slob can weld really.

    This is why the country is going down hill when we have genuis like this making stupid posts. (like any slob can weld) Don't think so !!!

    Welding is a very, very simple task unless you are dealing with something ornate. I stand by my statement. If you have the gear it is definitely worth giving it a go.

    You can get chemical glues for metal nowadays. Depending on what you need welded it may do. They are available in Atlantic Homecare etc
