Laptop Trouble

    Sorry if this is in the wrong place. But my laptop is acting up. firstly it would not complete boot up, but would boot to safe mode. After reaching that stage i completed a system configuration, but now none of my short cuts work.

    Any ideas how bad it si guys or what I need to get it right. Cheers

    Did you do a system restore.

    If so what date did you go back to and were there any dates in between.

    My guess is you restored to before the programs were installed so files / shortcuts are still there but registry entries are lost.

    check system restore again to see what dates are available to you.
    Use the last one before it stopped booting and if that doesn't work keep moving back.
