    Hi guys,

I want to plan a break over Christmas which will involve the following

    Romantic log cabin/nice hotel spa

Apre ski if we feel like a night out

    Beginners skiing

    Good food

Nice town where there is other stuff to do. Christmas markets, etc

We are currently looking at Finland as the husky dog sledding and reindeer safari looks great and the chance to see the Northern lights.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

There are so many options I am getting confused. Self catering v's half board.

Or would Austrai be a better option?:confused::confused:

Couple of options depending on budget etc Zell will be the ceapest option from the below.

In relation to Christmas markets etc not really that something allot of resorts do but there are other celebrations going on in the village. Great way to spend your honeymoon.

    Banff/Lake Louise Canada

Romantic log cabin/nice hotel spa - Check Check Check - Fairmont Chateaux Lake Louse or Banff Farimont Hotel both amazing. For something a little more remote Emerald Lake for a night or to

Apre ski if we feel like a night out -Tons of it in Bannff not traditional European apres but still very livley
Nice town where there is other stuff to do. Christmas markets, et - It is actuall a Summer town but has tons of shops, thermal baths and activites like snomobiling/Nature tours (Tons of Elk/Cougars/Eagles/Mouse about)

Beginners skiing - Check and check 3 resorts to choose from

Good food- Tons of great eats in the town.
    Saas Fee Switzerland
Romantic log cabin/nice hotel spa Try the Feirnart or the Scwizerhoff hotels both amazing with great facilities. The most beautifull chocolate box village you can imagine its not called the Pearl of the alps for nothing

Apre ski if we feel like a night out- The black Bull, followed by the metro bar and poison/popcorn you wont be dissapointed

Beginners skiing -Loads and 2 great ski schools plus all the runs merge on once central point in the town. Never any q's for lifts either.

Good food - 6 Michelan star resteraunts in a town of 2,000 people says it all amaizing food even on the mountian and some good value

Nice town where there is other stuff to do. Christmas markets, etc - Chocolate box postcard snow sure you can ski there in Aug and amazing. We are getting married there next summer

    Zell em Zee Austria
Romantic log cabin/nice hotel spa - Grand Hotel right on a frozen Lake

Apre ski if we feel like a night out -Its Austria it’s a sure thing,

Beginners skiing - Tons and Tons of it and a glacier up the road.

Good food - Fairly standard Austrian fair good quality and always something you will eat.

Nice town where there is other stuff to do. Christmas markets, etc Beautifull setting on a frozen lake with great mountiains around it.
    Zermatt
Romantic log cabin/nice hotel spa Everything Home of the matterhorn mountain and tons of nice hotels

Apre ski if we feel like a night out Fairly livley town with load of pubs and clubs.

    Beginners skiing Loads of it

Good food - Makes Saas Fee look like a mcdonald ha ha Tons of top drawer Food and places to eat.

Nice town where there is other stuff to do. Christmas markets, etc Again like Saas Swiss Chocolate box amazing place but slightly bigger than Saas

Wow Fattes! Great reply! Thanks so much!

have you been to Finland? Would you not really recommend there so?

Finland is fine the Apres will be quiter than anywhere else there but should tick the rest of your boxes :D

The rest where just suggestions I could not reccomend Bannf or Saas Fee strongly enough as places to go but at the end of the day like all things snow sports related its a personal choice.
