Network share owners

I'm setting up a printer to scan to networked windows 7 PCs, and I'm running into a problem. The printer uses network shares authenticated by the share owner windows login.

I've set up a few already and the share owner is an account in the administrator group. The current PC is failing and I notice that the share owner is the administrators group rather than the account in the administrator group. I think this is what is causing the problem, but I can't see how to control whether the group or the account is the share owner.

A possibly-relevant detail is that the working machines are set up for home network. The PC that isn't working was set up for work network, but I've changed this to home, rebooted, deleted and recreated the folder and share. All to no avail.

    All suggestions greatly appreciated...
