iPhone 3gs as a modem?

    Is it possible to connect a laptop to the internet using an iPhone 3gs?

    My provider is O2. is this something that i need to spek to them about?

    Yeah, Tethering to your laptop is very straight forward, just ask 02 if it's free though otherwise it could be expensive. I'm with 3 and it's included in my bundle.

    You need to phone customer support and ask to get tethering enabled on your iphone.

    They'll try to sell you a data addon. If you're already a contract customer you get 2GB data already included a month, which might be enough for you so you can insist that they just enable the tethering and don't pay any extra. If you go over the limit its expensive though, but for light usage many people would be fine without paying extra.
