Offensive Player of the Week: Matt Schaub (HOU) Second Houston player in a row to get this in my books. Can't look past 497 yards and 3 TD's. Good enough to ignore the interception. Taking your team to Washington and winning in overtime on the back of a hard fought victory over the Colts is seriously impressive. Honourable mentions to LeSean McCoy and Jay Cutler.

Defensive Player of the Week: Jason Allen (MIA) 2 interceptions, 11 total tackles and 3 pass deflections. Great performance in what was a tremendous defensive display from the Dolphins. Honourable mention to Patrick Willis (SF) and the Freeney - Mathis connection (IND).

Rookie of the Week: Jahvid Best (DET) No question about this one. 232 total yards of offence and 3 touchdowns. He was unstoppable, and has just established himself as favourite for rookie of the year. Honourable mentions to Mike Williams (TB), Aaron Hernandez (NE), Ndamukong Suh (DET) and Nate Allen (PHI).

Flop of the Week: Joe Flacco (BAL). Had a first half of JaMarcus Russell proportions, and only marginally improved in the second. Finished 17/39 for a measly 154 yards, 1 TD and 4 interceptions.

Play of the Week: Randy Moss (NE) and his fabulous (yes, fabulous) one handed catch over Darrelle Revis. Honourable mentions to Antonio Brown's (PIT) 89 yard kick return TD, incorporating a lovely little reverse, and this monster, monster, MONSTER slam from Rolando McClain who it seems is right at home in Oakland. Poor Danny Amendola.

Offensive Player of the Week: Matt Schaub. Cant get enough credit for what he did, 3 yards shy of 500, 3 touchdown passes and overturning a 17 point deficit. Honourable mentions to Jay Cutler and Jahvid Best (i'll get to him in a minute)

Defensive Player of the Week: Jason Allen (MIA) 2 interceptions, 11 total tackles and 3 pass deflections. Honourable mention goes to Clay Matthews for another 3 sacks.

Rookie of the Week: Jahvid Best (DET) - Absolutely flawless throughout and now rightly favourite for Rookie of the Year. Honourable mentions go to Demaryius Thomas (8 catches for 97 yds and a TD on his debut) and Aaron Hernandez

Flop of the Week: Joe Flacco (BAL). Poor throughout, one of his worst games. Honourable mention goes to none other than Tom Brady.

Play of the Week: Miami defence stuffing none other than Adrian Peterson on 4th and goal, a play that ultimately gave them their win. Honourable mention to Antonio Brown's brilliantly executed reverse.

Coaching decision of the week: Gary Kubiak wins this one with a perfectly executed "freeze" of Redskins kicker Graham Gano. Honourable mention goes to Tom Cable for putting Bruce Gradkowski in at halftime.

Houston look like a Serious playoff contender.

    This years New orleans maybe?

They are a VERY complete team, the one gaping hole being pass defense -- so far. The D line looked immense against the (albeit rusty looking) Colts, and the Offense is clearly elite.

The main thing though, is their doing what big teams have done in the past, and just forcibly won games they had no right to. A complete turnaround in mentality, and are now a very dangerous team.

I don't hate Houston -- yet. But being in our Division, i have a feeling it won't be long coming :D
