aww class, chucks mom is a badass, god how i love this show, did not see that coming, (also doent look like a fossil unlike the promo picture i saw)

if you die you die, another classic line,

should be a great season ellie pregnant, chuck chasing his mother aorund the world,

loved the sexting, god sarah can look even hotter just by brushing her hair to one side, :D

anyway, a great start to what will hopefully be another great season,

It was a bit of a mixed bag, one thing i saw...budget increase!, it had some very good LOL moments, but we didn't see enough of the Buy More or Olivia Munn...wtf?

The pacing seemed off, it was not the most action packed or exciting opener, but i do like the show and will continue to watch.

'Who are these master spies?' :P

I really enjoyed that. Classic Chuck. Hopefully Dolph isnt dead, as i quite like him.

    Olivia Munn

That's who it was. Her voice is damn sexy. Along with the rest of her of course

Great season opener. Classic Chuck. Good to have it back.
What are the bets it'll be on the bubble again this year though? Anyone know how many episodes have been ordered this season?

For me, I was disappointed with the opener, but I seem to be in the minority. No sign of awesome and what the hell is with Chucks hair? I didnt like the new look. My thoughts after watching the first episode was, it took the last 30 seconds to make it interesting.

Loved todays episode. Not the greatest plot wise, kinda tried to fit in too many pieces of information into one 40 minutes show. No jeffster or big mike??

Liking the fact that Morgan seems to be getting a more prominant role rather than just being shunted to a subplot with the Buy More staff..

Not sure how I feel about Beckman being on location...

13 episodes....last nights numbers were average at best, about what NBC expected, but any lower....trouble :(

ps. - after one ep. it's already on the bubble!...Chuck is infamous for surviving though and prompts alot of "will it be cancelled or renewed" debate :)

I was about to make a new thread in TV about this.. as I forgot we had a 'Chuck' forum.

Not a stellar opening episode tbh!

Some good lines ("SOS? Oh, skin-on-skin!") but it just wasn't as fresh as usual.

PS - any Seinfeld fans notice Chuck's job interview was in Vandelay Industries? :D

Of course it will... 'Chuck' will never recover from being "on the bubble" unfortunately.

Agreed, it was meh tbh. Hopefully it will improve.

How are they going to operate the Buymore as a CIA station if the public are allowed in to shop?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,282 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

All they need to do is add some teenagers singing or moody vampires and fans will flock to it by the millions.

    Thankfully, THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!

I presume everything will be well hidden, a la the button that takes the U.S. to Defcon One.

They are the CIA after all.

While I loved the episode as a whole, I thought they completely misused the guest actors. Dolph could have been very funny if they had pitched him against Casey more but they, instead, turned him into a pansy

Olivia Munn seemed to have a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role with no purpose and Harry Dean Stanton just was not funny!

Hope they get more out of the rest of their guest stars. I thought Chevy Chase was the best so far.

I wasn't really impressed with this. It was just more of the same and everythign palyed out with crushing inevitability.

Think Dolph was underused, but think they're setting the groundwork for something big :D

I liked the opening. Will be interesting to see where they take thing from here.

thought it was a bit meh as well...but they can't all be good can they? :)
Hopefully the first eps of Dexter/Supernatural don't let me down

Was a little disappointed with it myself. Chuck and Sarah have become vomit inducing. Hopefully it improves somewhat. Season 3 had a few "oh oh" weak moments but then managed to pick itself up again.

Yay for the return of Chuck!

I'm a massive Chuck fan and I enjoyed last this episode but I did feel that it was a bit rushed or something. Especially the opening sequence and there was something slapstick about it. More Control than CIA if you know what I mean. Hopefully it was just the first episode and the rest will get back to Chuck basics.
