    hi there,

where can i get Moroccan oil or argan oil that doesnt cost nearly 40euro (or is it worth it?)?
Does anyone know of a health shop that stocks it?

Ive also heard great things about coconut oil-just as good but a fraction of the price-where can this be bought?

Oh and its the one for your hair not face! My newly blonde hair desparately needs a bit of help and ive heard this stuff is amazing!

Not sure about the moroccan oil but coconut oil can be bought at any health shop or Asian food store
I have used it in my hair several times before,
you warm it in your hands (coconut oil is solid but melts at skin temperature) and apply to dry hair, leave on overnight if poss, when you're shampooing it out rub the shampoo into dry hair first as it is pretty hard to get out but it leaves your hair lovely and glossy!

Make sure its extra virgin coconut oil too. Apparently its the better version. A jar will cost around €5 (for the good stuff, <€2 for other versions) and you should get a good few hair treatments out of it aswell as a few facials. I heated mine in the microwave first to make it into an oil, rubbed on dry hair, put shower cap on and left for 15-30 mins. Wash your hair as normal then.

For a facial, rub gently into dry skin and place a hot face cloth on your face and allow to cool.

I started a thread about it here awhile back if you want more info.

Hey Anniehoo, fellow coconut oil lover! Love the stuff,

and OP, there is so many uses for virgin coconut oil that you won't waste your money, You can cook with it, use on hair, face, gets rid of babies nappy rash, good for cradle cap and it also cured me of a horrific allergic reaction (that was like a chemical burn) to a pair of rubber shoes!

there's no difference between virgin and extra virgin in coconut oil unlike olive oil but just make sure it says 'virgin' or 'raw' but shop around for prices because you might find it for €5 in one shop and €10 in the next

i didnt see the posts until now and i went and bought Pure coconut oil but not virgin-luckily it was only 2.99!
    is there a big difference?

I bought it in dublin city centre in an Asian store but im from naas so not sure where to try?

anyway i used it straight away-put it on dry hair, waited 20mins then shampooed and conditioned but dont notice a big difference??
maybe theres something to the 'virgin' thing after all!

Hi Cmrm, because it's an oil it penetrates the hair better with heat so when you have it in your hair, wrap cling film around your hair and then put a towel over that, try to leave it for at least a couple of hours. Hope that helps!

Tried this moroccan oil at a mates house last night. My hair is so shiny today - great if you have dry hair. There seems to be a huge marketing push for this lately - it's new enough in Ireland. €33 was the price I was quoted. Am going to try and source it - the smell is amazing. Also have coconut oil at home but don't put it in hair - good idea though :)

I bought Argan oil in Morocco.....I know thats not much good to you but for what its worth, if you go to the right places (street markets rather than the tourist shop) a litre of it was costing in the region of €10 from memory. Its great with food, salads especially.
