When I plug in my new iPhone will I lose all the apps from my old one?

My iPhone 4 went back to Apple last week because of a dodgy speaker. I got a mail from them today to say they have shipped me a new replacement phone. Just wondering now, when I plug it in will iTunes see that it's a different phone and refuse to restore the backup I took of the old one before I returned it? I haven't spent a huge amount on apps but it would still be a pain in the hole if I had to buy them all over again.

Not to mention having to start from scratch on Peggle again, when I'd only a couple of challenges left to complete

you will not lose the apps - they should still be in your iTunes library
(in any event your iTunes account will remember you downloaded them, so you can always check your history and download them all again if something went wrong - iTunes only charges once per app - you can download as often as you need or like)

assuming you had a backup of your last iphone 4, you can restore that backup to your new iphone 4
i've done it with 3GS without problem

i cannot say whether the backup includes game saves, but it should include preferred settings and your email, contacts etc.

As long as you se the same iTunes account you'll be fine.
