I have 400 meters of dry stone wall to build. Stone is fairly good having come from old stone sheds. Based on paying cash, I'm wondering what would be a reasonable rate to offer a handy labourer to do the job as a daily rate.

you will prob get a handyman cash for 80-100 a day, but it might take him twice as long as someone that will cost you 125-150 a day thats at stone everyday

would you not be better to ask a price for the whole job as if you are paying by the day/hour they are going to go at a slow pace:rolleyes:

I'd be saying between 70 and 100 per day cash to a handyman, depending on how near he is to you, how well you know him etc. I would say you should get a stonemason who would charge €60 per square meter ex vat ;) and there would be no chasing after the daily work rate on your part.
