No not really. It's BSOD, Blue Screen of Death.

Got it on my laptop two days after buying it and had to return it.

Try getting it going in safe mode and run a disc error check.

TRY safe mode ,hold f8, turn on pc, wait for safe mode menu, release f8,use arrows,up down, enter keys, select directory services restore mode, that might fix it.

Try restarting in "Safe Mode" and see if it will boot.

Do this by restarting the pc, as soon as the bios screen goes off keep tapping F8 before any windows logo appears (If you see the windows logo its gone too far) and select "Safe Mode" from the list.

If you have access to another pc / laptop and external hard drive you could copy all of your music / files from it before you bring it in for repair.

Some computer repair places will not be too bothered about backing up your data and Ive had lots of people tell me about hard drives wiped etc.

Download a LiveCD like Ubuntu or Knoppix, boot the laptop from the live cd.
Connect the hard drive and copy what you need (its very straight forward)

http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download is what I would use
