    Hi all,

On the mpeg4ireland site it's flagged Suir Valley as the closest transmitter to me in Stoneyford, Kilkenny. I'm fairly sure myself and the neighbours are all directed towards Mt. Leinster (20 miles away). Whilst noting that nearest doesn't necessarily mean best, is it worth repositioning for the sake of curiousity or is it a waste of time?

Mount Leinster is likely a much more powerful transmitter. Suir Valley is likely infilling for terrain issues blocking people from Mount Leinster. Closeness isnt the only factor...

Cheers Slegs, next month should hopefully reveal what signal strength from Mt. Leinster will be, not much on the boards relating to Suir Valley, I wasn't even sure if it was operational.

Yes its operational. The bets way to see what is your best Tx is to try it out if you have access to the arial and its the correct band etc.
